Neptune in Signs or in Houses in birth chart

Descriptions of Neptune in Birth chart in the Signs and Houses of the zodiac

Neptune in birth chart is both a great principle of idealization and a great risk of illusion and disappointment. This planet invites to “universalization”, but also to dream, to escape from reality (it’s often attributed to drugs, alcohol, medicines).
Its placement in chart can therefore be either a door on mysticism and self-denial, or a place of credulity, weakness, laxism, unrealizable utopianism. It all depends here on how the rest of the chart is lived, whether it’s more a person focused on transcendence or on materialism . It’s certain that Neptunian values often do not fit well with values that are too Earth, materialistic, there is a pronounced antagonism.
The planet also represents a part of the Anima, in particular it’s so to speak the superior octave of the Venusian “Eros” in receptivity and sensitivity, translating for example into the artistic domain, as well as into gentleness and the capacity for conciliation.
As Neptune remains 14 years per sign approximately (twice as much as Uranus), its position in houses is much more speaking for the personality. The energy of the sign gives above all an elemental coloration of background common to a whole generation, which will apply more personally to the area of life meant by the house. Therefore, focus first and foremost on the impacted house, the sign giving a background tone.
Be careful not to confuse with Neptune in transit, I describe here the Neptunian energies at work in your birth chart (the potentialities and projections that they can represent within your personality), these interpretations are of a general nature and only aim to give a small idea of principle, they must be nuanced by taking into account the birth chart in its entirety, in particular the realized Aspects and the Rulerships.
