It’s important to note that these two facets can be expressed within a single person as that person evolves on their journey through life. Often, Jupiter in Sagittarius people are attached to material things in the first stage of their lives, and then, because they do not find answers to their questions, they begin to search within themselves, questioning the nature of life itself, which may lead them to “sublimate” all of the material things that they had built up around them.
Jupiter in Sagittarius is thus very strong, especially karmically speaking, because it is generally a sign of a grand spiritual awakening and of self-discovery that lie in one’s future.
For those people who are able to understand and control these energies, they may truly feel as though they have been “galvanized”, both filled with wonder at the true nature of life and capable of more easily trusting “that which is greater than they are”. Unfortunately, Jupiter in Sagittarius can easily make people somewhat holier-than-thou, “self-righteous”, or prying in the context of philosophical discussions, and this may lead them to become totally intransigent.
These people may have a very hard time finding a framework that allows them to fully and calmly express Jupiter’s power.
They also tend to think that “more is always better”, which leads them to focus only on exponential growth, and this may really end up hurting them if they are not able to find other elements in their birth chart that could help them do things more moderately and help to channel their energy.
Their “faith” may also lead them to believe in destiny and to become careless, ultimately causing them to lose some level of control over their lives (if you give yourself to providence, why keep on fighting ?).
They may also always want to be right about everything, believing that they know better than others what “the true reality” of things is, and even though it’s true that they have an easier time putting things into perspective than other people, it would still be in their interest not to cut themselves off from the things that other signs can bring to the table, especially in terms of knowledge and objectivity.
