This lunation chart was drawn up at the exact moment of the Sun / Moon conjunction on December 13, 2023, it gives the “general” astral trends for the coming month mainly based on the Aspects and Signs of the zodiac.
This study must be nuanced by bringing it closer to your birth chart, and to your Transits and Progressions for Forecasts.
Think, to help you, to read my interpretation article of the New moon and Full moon in houses.
Main signs impacted during the lunation:
The Fire signs, 3rd decans, and the Earth signs, 1st decans.
Late 2023 and early 2024 very productive
This New Moon has quite a bit of harmony between the forces of Fire and Earth to mark the end of the year, and this is clearly useful for structuring a personal and social statement, or any kind of project for that matter.
We can see in particular that it takes place in conjunction with Mars and at the trine of the north node in Aries, so the Martian energies are clearly not negligible at the beginning of the lunation. They can bring a dynamic, an impulsiveness, a spark, very useful for initiating action and making a decision.
Perhaps at the end of the year, in a short space of time, you want to clear up a backlog from the previous months, or finalise something at all costs before moving on to the beginning of 2024. There could be something of this order, which this pattern reminds me of (and you seem to have good assets for this, especially if you have important birth influences in the Fire signs, Sagittarius, Aries and Leo, 3rd decans).
Right from the start of the lunation, Mercury goes retrograde in the 1st decan of Capricorn, which will also mark this entire lunation, as the planet can bring a significant dose of reflection if you’re marked by the Grand Earth Trine (with Taurus and Virgo, where we find the Jupiter transit and the Black Moon transit).
Given the harmony of this pattern, this Mercury retrograde doesn’t seem to mark any particular “delay” in this month, but rather to be useful for refining something, for fine-tuning it, for analysing it in the detail in a very perfectionist way, and for being proud of what comes out of it (especially at the beginning of 2024).
When there’s a good alliance between Fire and Earth, as seems to be the case at this time of year, things can really become hyper-productive, efficient, creative and fertile. So whatever sector of life you apply this to in relation to your own birth energies, these are points that remain to be maximised, between forces of action and construction, especially as there aren’t many obstacles at the end of the year…
From the increasing square phase, around December 19, until the full Moon on December 27, this can be a more delicate time in terms of relationships, but useful in the background in terms of emancipation.
The Full Moon on 27 December 2023 occurs in the Capricorn/Cancer axis and may represent a kind of culmination, perhaps because the hard work Earth forces will have demanded since the beginning of the lunation finds recognition here, or a form of fulfilment.
At the very end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, we’ll also see Jupiter and Mercury successively return to direct motion, which is always good for boosting the social dynamic at the start of the year…
The Earth really gains in power at this time and represents a very useful force, particularly at the professional or material level. It can be especially helpful here in terms of gaining recognition (the perfectionism you’ve shown in the past can pay off).
