In the zodiac Capricorn is the goatfish, the Sukhurmashu, an improbable chimera that in reality represents the primordial and ancestral origins of life coming out of the water and emerging on the primeval land to conquer it.
Cronos represents the force of time which is likely to cut across the other dimensions and with which all must deal, the difficulty of knowing how to inherit its roots, to appropriate them, and to be able to choose what to transmit them to posterity in turn…

Capricorn Psychology in everyday life and at work
Capricorn symbolizes the winter solstice : the energy of the Night-Force has reached its peak, and it will now progressively decline, but the circle of life is at rest and nature decomposes into humus. We are at the beginning of the southeastern quadrant, which is home to the Houses of transpersonal development (the 10th, 11th, and 12th houses).
Thorough, and filled with an energy of structure, of cohesion, of rigor, of perseverance, and of ambition, they are agents of responsibility in the zodiac cycle.
Capricorns are cautious, reserved, economical, and attentive. Their discreet character gives them a reputation of being austere, cold, and hard to read, but do not judge a book by its cover : they can also be creative !
They share some of the calculated slowness of the Taurus : they like thinking, reflection, solitude, meditation, and calm. They have good self-control and show themselves to be patient and persistent when working towards achieving their goals. Capricorns integrate their dependability, their seriousness and their precision, their discretion, their shyness, their sensitivity, and their modesty into their emotional attachments. Their introverted nature gives them the tendency to withdraw into themselves, and they put a lid on their impulses. They are not very demonstrative, constantly exercising restraint. They have such high standards for their relationship with their partner that they are often unhappy with how outwardly superficial their own heart appears to be.
But underneath all of these layers surrounding their heart and preventing them from being spontaneously kindled and impassioned, there hide very solid and very sincere emotional attachments that allow them to protect and support their family singlehandedly (both financially and psychologically) !
Capricorn like to be courted rather than doing the courting themselves, but this does not stop them from being romantic, sensual, or erotic. They seek intellectual affinity as a preliminary foundation for any relationship, and they critically analyze their relationships (a bit like Virgo).
Extremely balanced, their only excess is their jealousy and their possessiveness, which come to the surface when they are in love. They require exclusivity, and their partner should be careful because their resentment is very long-lasting !
But in the end, they inspire trust and responsibility, and even their haughty, rigid, and home-body side can show itself to be a good point in their personality. After all, if you want to live happily you need to live hidden !
