Mythology of Pisces
In the zodiac Pisces materialize the place where the souls take refuge after their death in the undifferentiated primordial unity, one of the fish represents the old soul and it is connected by a thread to the other fish which symbolizes the next and new incarnation.
The god of the seas and oceans, Poseidon, reigns over the deep waters of the collective unconscious and must constantly confront the conscious in order to bring things to the surface, reveal them and make them understand.

Pisces Psychology in everyday life and at work
Pisces symbolizes the peak of winter, the energy of the Night-Force having come into balance with that of the Day-Force, when circle of life has almost completely stopped. We are at the end of the southeastern quadrant, which is home to the Houses of transpersonal development (the 10th, 11th, and 12th houses), and also at the end of the southern hemisphere (oriented towards the sky), the hemisphere of community, extroversion, and spirituality (the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th houses).
Intuitive, and filled with an energy of dreams, imagination, and mysticism, they are agents of sacrifice in the zodiac cycle (disincarnation, enlightenment).
Pisces symbolize the 6th sense, beyond consciousness : their reasoning goes beyond ordinary sensations and perceptions. They are unconsciously and intuitively able to be receptive and sensitive, among other attributes. These gifts may even lead to mediumship or other forms of clairvoyance (their ruling planet is Neptune).
Pisces therefore have a hypersensitive, emotional side and a natural kindness that leads them to sacrifice, giving themselves away, which can sometimes be interpreted as a form of submission. Often lost in thought and in the wealth of their internal world, it is not rare for them to dream while they are awake !
But do not be fooled : given their personality, this is often a defense mechanism. They take refuge in their imagination, in their own world, far from the chaos of reality.
Their mood changes quickly, alternating between optimistic and serious. Their personality is very “magnetic” and over the top, and they might seek out solitude one minute but open up to others the next. This does not, however, undercut their remarkable adaptability (Pisces is a Mutable sign) in the context of their relationships with those who are close to them. We often find Pisces to be artists, frequently caught up in their dreams and passions.
Gifted with a thirst for knowledge and opportunities to explore as well as a considerable magnanimity, Pisces have high ambitions and hopes. Their imagination inspires them to be introspective and spiritual, and they symbolize the culmination and perfect understanding of the zodiac circle.
Pisces in love : are you compatible ?
Inventive, apt to dream, and romantic by nature, Pisces like to fantasize about their partners, often in a romantic context, dreaming frequently about a kind of noble eroticism that arises from their considerate and self-sacrificing nature. They are “bons vivants”, very “carpe diem” : they like to take advantage of all of the pleasures in life, and are often spendthrifts.
Pisces require a lot of tender, loving care from their partner, but give it right back ! Paradoxically, they are looking for their soul mate to complement them, but often in the sense of seeking someone who is their polar opposite : they search for what they are missing, such as authoritativeness, combativeness, or being down to earth. In such a relationship, they would feel like their pairing is as “complete” as it could possibly be, and that their union is almost perfect. They are generally good parents, loving and devoted, and they would do whatever is necessary to ensure their children’s emotional security.
Pisces are shy, romantic, passionate, and considerate. They look for cooperation in a relationship and avoid battles of will, the fight. Very concerned about maintaining unity, and not wanting to bother their soul mate, they have a tendency to avoid confrontation, ignore problems, and even lie, at least “by omission”, to keep the peace.
