This lunation chart was drawn up at the exact moment of the Sun / Moon conjunction on January 29, 2025, it gives the “general” astral trends for the coming month mainly based on the Aspects and Signs of the zodiac.
This study must be nuanced by bringing it closer to your birth chart, and to your Transits and Progressions for Forecasts.

A lot of interesting changes!
This is the first real New Moon of 2025, since the previous one took place at the very end of 2024, and the month of December even saw 2 New Moons (at the beginning and end of the month), and it’s still quite interesting, as it may allow certain medium-term energies to be unblocked!
Indeed, we can see that there are quite a few interesting movements in this lunation’s sky, from elemental shifts to resumption of direct motion.
What really marks the new moon is the change of axis in the signs of the lunar nodes, which for several months will occupy the Virgo south node / Pisces north node axis, forming elemental changes to which some people may be sensitive.
In particular, in the first quarter of 2025, there’s a major karmic enhancement of Neptunian energies, with the North Node confirming a triggering factor around these forces, which can translate in different ways depending on each person’s birth chart…
This can lead to an increase in receptivity and emotional, transpersonal sensitivity, and be useful for compassionate, sacrificial openings, for showing forgiveness, devotion, to enable spiritualization, elevation.
Study carefully how your birth chart’s Neptunian forces express themselves, and what your birth chart’s North Node requires of you, as the 2 may have to work together during this period.
Beware, perhaps, of elements of confusion, illusion and idealization, which may be emphasized more strongly at the same moment with these forces, and which may reflect certain distractions that should not be overlooked, or also drifts, abuses and excesses.
Venus is fully involved in this Pisces configuration at this New Moon, and will begin to enter more and more of its retrograde loop in Aries, so it’s really caught up in this Neptunian influence over the period.
It can be a person or situation that abuses your kindness, devotion or compassion, trying to pass itself off as a victim to activate your need to help, to care, to save (read what I can say about this type of pattern, closely linked to Karpman’s triangle).
In any case, this can have a major impact on the beginning of this lunation, i.e. the end of January and especially the beginning of February, so be on the lookout for these elements at this moment.
The good thing about the beginning of February is that Jupiter in Gemini will start to move up this sign again very quickly, and may help to unblock things that could have been dragging on for months, even since the summer of 2024!
Jupiter seems to have some interesting emancipation energies to bring to bear here, especially on a social level, in your outward expressions and your communication. You’ll be able to rediscover a more fluid dynamic, more conducive to socializing and learning.
This may also be linked to the complex Venusian phase I mentioned earlier, as you can regain the energy to say what’s on your mind, to perhaps no longer passively endure, and as Jupiter is quite inflationary in its nature, there is easily an explosion or overflow, and that can help the relational and emotional crisis…
All this plays out a lot over the first half of the lunation, up to the full moon of February 12, 2025, and remains a very dynamic period on these elements.
The second half of the lunation a priori has less to report, less movement and change, but it will still be the important period of Mars’ resumption of direct motion (see my dedicated article on this 2024 Mars retrograde in Cancer).
With Jupiter regaining its velocity, this can really confirm the unblocking of medium-term cycles, and help you regain a much better dynamic! It’s conducive to extraversion, self-assertion, confidence and projects…
Admittedly, it’s not “perfect”, since Venus will soon go retrograde at the beginning of the next lunation, but there’s already reason to start “de-gluing” certain mid-term phases.
It’s likely that the Venusian shadow in next month’s chart will be linked to these dynamic phases. Perhaps words will go beyond our thoughts, or our new-found freedom will push us to dare to take risks, to confront, and this will be paid for in disputes and rebellion, at least that’s one possible interpretation!
