The planet Jupiter enters the sign of Cancer from June 09, 2025, a sign where it is strongly exalted, and where it will be able to develop its energies for about 1 year until June 30, 2026.
Main signs impacted during this transit:
The 1st decans of the Cardinal signs until July 23, from July 23 to September 13 the 2nd decans of the Water signs, from September 13 to June 30, 2026, mixing of the 3rd and 2nd decans of the Cardinal signs with the retrograde phase of Jupiter, which will be rather neutral, especially in 2026.
1st Decan Challenge
Cancer is an aquatic sign under direct lunar control, which can exacerbate issues of emotional receptivity and hypersensitivity with this Jovian transit (especially if you already have a lot of Water in your birth chart).
Areas related to the need to increase one’s inner emotional security can be predominant, which tends to translate effectively into elements related to the family, its roots, heredity and perpetuation, or also to the household and one’s home, the way in which one wants these elements to evolve, which can take on a more predominant importance to accompany.
The major point that marks the beginning of Jupiter’s transit in Cancer is that the planet is rapidly squaring up to Neptune in Aries and Saturn in Aries more recently.
This confirms a lot about the month of June and the early summer of 2025, that there’s a big step to climb around these forces, and which may reflect greater emotional pressure over this period.
The increasing square has a greater creative and enterprising load, so these Jovian forces can really underline the test of realization, of driving change.
Much will depend on how you express your Neptunian forces in your birth chart, and whether you are close to or averse to them, as this will play out in full force in the current configuration (see what I have to say about Neptune’s transit in Aries from 2025 to 2039).
Beware of emotional submersion, which may remain very important for 1st decans of Cardinal signs until July 23, with an exacerbation of receptivity and a violence of feelings, perhaps precisely because you’ll be asked to do particularly “demanding” evolutionary work.
It could be, for example, a change that is imposed on us by force of circumstance, asking us to move closer to our fundamental ideals, even if this causes instability, insecurity or difficulty.
The new moon of June 25, 2025 can be particularly powerful and dynamic on this, since it’s in conjunction with Jupiter’s transit, so it can confirm a powerful trigger factor on it (it’s one of the most important new moons of the year, and I’ll have a chance to deal with it shortly in a dedicated post).
This can add to the confusion during this period, with a psychospiritual crisis that may be linked, for example, to the vocational path you want to take or follow, but which requires sacrifice and a particular sense of responsibility.
Don’t lose sight of the fact that we’re really in the phase of the most important slow transits of 2025! So, even in mundane astrology and at the political level, this kind of phase can have a greater resonance (as a vector of crises), and it’s really the month of June and into early July that seems most sensitive.
Grand Water Trine for 2nd and 3rd decans
From July 23 to September 13, the 2nd decans of water signs may be the most sensitized, as a harmonic Grand Trine pattern is formed with the transit of the Black moon in Scorpio and the transit of the North Node in Pisces.
This will last almost until the end of September, and retains a particular karmic evolutionary charge. For 2nd decans, for example, this may indicate that what they do during this period will be very favorable in terms of their fundamental karmic fulfillment, to refocus on their karmic incarnational goals and sublimate their trials.
This can help social expansion in particular, and the fact of “expressing meaning” to what will be done, of getting closer to one’s vocation, one’s ideals (to settle or finalize a rapprochement towards this).
From September 13 until the end of its transit in June 2026, Jupiter’s stationary and retrograde phases will press on the 3rd and 2nd decans of the Cardinal signs.
There’s still a Grand Trine expressed with the Black moon in Scorpio, but this time with Saturn retrograde in Pisces on the other side, which can help structure professional social dynamics at the end of the year, preparing them for better expansion from early 2026.
As Jupiter passes retrograde around November 11, 2025, the planet needs to take its annual breath for several months until March 11, 2026, without however forming another major aspect with the rest of the sky in the slow transits from early 2026 onwards.
Its retrograde phase may well be passive/receptive, unlike the more violent energies of its early transit, which concerned 1st decans.
