It’s a question here of the global energies of Venus in Virgo or in 6th House which it’s imperative to nuance according to your birth chart, see the article Venus in signs; see also the article on the general interpretation of Venus.
The planet Venus is one of the attributes of the Anima in the chart, as such it can indicate a Projection of it.
It informs on the woman side, pole of attraction, lover, but also on our system of valorization (affective and material), on our relational base to the others and to the world, on our artistic dimension, it manifests qualities to the colors of the occupied sign. See Venus in a man’s birth chart for the specific influence of this planet on the Animus.
Venus in Virgo : timidity, devotion, and simplicity
The planet Venus is in fall here, under the rulership of Mercury (see Rulerships), so it’s in a sector that does not fully promote the natural expression of emotions.
Venus in Virgo people are of the introverted, timid sort, constantly restrained in a certain way, naturally classy, and with an intellectual side. Somewhat like Venus in Gemini people, they are very focused on the cerebral aspect of things.
These people are extremely devoted in their relationships, and they see it as their duty to serve their partner. They have a tendency to overanalyze even the most insignificant events in their relationships, always dissecting why and how something happened. This can make their emotions seem somewhat artificial, since they constantly take such a big step back from things and “work” on their relationship down to the last detail : nothing escapes them.
These people are discrete, reserved, simple, sincere, and considerate, but nonetheless they are not any less generous. They know how to find their way into people’s hearts, slowly but surely, naturally establishing themselves as a strong ally one step at a time !
They really like to assist their partners in practical ways, helping them on a daily basis with concrete tasks (and possibly chores), which takes a weight off of their loved one’s mind. They see love as something concrete, a moral duty with meaning and a practical aim.
Venus in Virgo probably makes these people the simplest out of any Venus in the zodiac. They like classicism and purity. It’s very important to them to have a serious partner who makes them feel secure. They tend to avoid partners who are too exuberant or fickle, or who they find hollow on the inside !
Venus in Virgo people are not afraid of solitude; on the contrary, at certain times throughout their life, they may seek it out voluntarily in order to recenter themselves. They would always much rather be alone than in bad company.
These people need to be sure of your love before offering themselves to you, and so they need to take their time. They often have a lot of trouble taking the first step, are very scared of failure, and have an underlying lack of self-confidence and self-assurance. Indeed, Venus in Virgo people are of a very troubled, anxious nature, and consciously have to deal with their underlying nervousness.
They are often excellent friends/lovers, and are very reliable, with a sympathetic and compassionate ear, very observant, and full of good sense and good, sound advice; however, their criticism is also frank, cutting, and never forgiving, and they do not hesitate to make things crystal clear for you. These people may not mesh very well with partners who are too easily offended and who do not deal with criticism well, or who are too indecisive or sensitive.
They immediately see all of the smallest flaws in a relationship, and in fact can’t stop themselves from seeking them out. This is how they are programmed. In doing so, they are trying first and foremost to improve their relationship, but perhaps it’s not always understood in that way…
To seduce these people, be discrete and sincere, and highlight your Earth energies and your seriousness, sturdiness, and durability. Don’t rush them; just make sure that they know that you appreciate them and their mentality. Take an interest in them and in what they do “concretely”, and then give them time and space. In this way, you can lead them to fully express their latent sensuality.
Artistically, these people also like things that have meaning, and they have trouble with anything that’s too abstract, unreal, off-the-wall, or nebulous. They like things that are simple and timeless : the classics, which have some absolute meaning.
Financially, Venus in Virgo people are thrifty and good at managing money and logistics. They are able to make do with very little, and they appreciate having a simple life. To them, accumulating money brings them a sense of security that is much more important than the ephemeral pleasure of impulse buying. Their practical side is always dominant, so they are far-removed from Venus’ classic, frivolous nature.
Venus retrograde in Virgo
Venus’ Retrograde motion in this sign makes people even more shy and withdrawn ! Their nervousness also dominates them, and they would be wise to find outlets that allow them to express or divert this energy, such as theater, for example.
Indeed, they may have a hard time expressing their feelings, and they may easily conflate devotion with Love or have trouble affirming their own emotional needs.
They are more hesitant, lack confidence in their own attractiveness, and fear direct romantic contact, so they may be more “slow on the uptake”. They are also more “traditionalist”, desperately seeking out purity in their relationship above all else.
