The planet Jupiter enters the sign of Taurus around May 17, 2023 and will stay there for about a year. The important point of this transit may be that the planet will come to make an important “magnifying effect” on the transit of Uranus which is in the long term in this same sign since 2018 and until 2026…
The Jovian forces can thus act here as a kind of “mid-term assessment” of the Uranian forces, by being able to come more strongly to highlight certain elements of these.
Main signs impacted during this transit:
Taurus and Fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), as well as Virgo and Capricorn (I specify the dates according to the concerned decans of these signs within the article).
Time to break the chains?
The Uranian transit passing through Taurus has been a powerful latent trigger of the important duality between “security and freedom” since 2018, and depending on where it has placed itself in one’s chart, it may have acted more as a factor of instability and insecurity, of risk-taking, as well as of break-up and loss formation…
It could act a lot in a background of a better research of emancipation, but also in the need to work on the detachment, the renunciation, and even in the necessary spiritualization around “what is lost”, or of what one must renounce.
With this type of background transit, one can clearly feel that one cannot have security, stability, and freedom at the same time, there is a split between these forces, and one is inevitably faced with different possible choices to make around these polarities during one’s incarnation…
This is a type of duality that may already be very present in some people’s birth charts, and is therefore over activated by these forces in the present.
And the transit of Jupiter which is beginning there will not be able to go against these logics, it will come especially to exacerbate the Uranian forces and to favor therefore a priori the logics of emancipation and liberation! (a Jovian energy that can help in some way to “jump a limiting barrier” in this sense)
If, for example, one feels trapped in a social, professional or relational pattern, the Jovian forces in question could help to bring the necessary energy of rupture which would allow one to move to a higher stage of personal expression, affirmation and independence. They can help one to take the necessary risks, to break codes, to dare.
From mid-May 2023, we can feel this more strongly, we can see that Jupiter is in the increasing square of the transit of Pluto on the beginning of Aquarius, so it can also contain a rather destructive charge, of confrontation, but it can help to reform, to transform things.
Until the beginning of July 2023, the Jovian forces will concern especially the 1st decans of all the Fixed signs and Earth signs, if you have planets in these places, you will be able to feel more strongly this period and these energies of which I have just spoken.
From the beginning of July and for several months, Jupiter will shift into the 2nd decan of Taurus, and will insist on it with its retrograde motion in the long term, so there again, it is all the 2nd decans of all the Fixed signs and Earth signs that are likely to be the most impacted in the long term, but this being said Jupiter will not form a major background aspect to the rest of the Sky apart from the onset of the conjunction to Uranus, so the planet seems to be acting more as a “background”.
I advise you in this respect to analyze more strongly what will be awakened from the beginning of July to the beginning of September, because these are elements that can be correlated to the spring of 2024, when the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction will be exact, and can come to cut through the situations, or reveal them, exacerbate them.
If you have natal astrological influences directly affected by this Jovian transit, try to maximize the period from mid-May to the beginning of September 2023 (if you have to create, undertake, initiate), because then Jupiter goes retrograde, and will a priori have social energies less easily available at the end of the year.
Note, for 1st decans, that Jupiter retrograde will come to visit you again from the beginning of November 2023, and until February 2024 ! (to be noted in your diaries) So, over 4 months, it is possible that power and domination struggles, or simply points initially raised from May to July, will come back on the table in this period, for example by asking you for more time than expected in their implementation…
From March 2024 and over the spring, what will obviously be very important to follow will be the conjunction of Jupiter with Uranus, which will be exact around April 21 on the beginning of the 3rd decan, and which will form one of the major aspects of this year!
This type of conjunction has the nature of a triggering factor that should clearly not be neglected, and probably even has an important “cutting” aspect on the period, therefore useful points to act/finalize the freedom that one wants to create for oneself, or to revolt, to “overthrow a table”, this can represent a very electric and effervescent period to be exploited according to the way it is expressed in the birth chart of each one…
All 3rd decans will be very sensitive to this and this period, until the passage of Jupiter in Gemini on May 26, 2024, which remains quite “short” for you, but can form a particularly energetic and intense month! (with forces of change and instability really maximized, “concentrated”, and also perhaps more “violent”)
