The planet Jupiter was able to gather a lot of strength with its transit in its Sagittarius home, a bit as if symbolically it could take back a new social momentum, allow new expansions, even quite excessive (an important challenge), and the good point is that its passage in Capricorn will probably be able to “put it down” and allow it to give a better shape and structuring to what will have been lifted.
Here the planet is under the Saturn rulership from the beginning of December 2019, and it happens moreover that it also joins the Saturnian transit during 2020, the 2 social planets forming then a conjunction in the sky, an aspect taking place approximately only every 20 years (the previous one was from the year 2000 and had taken place in Taurus).
We have seen the importance of the Saturn transit in its home Capricorn since the end of 2017, and thus the important Stellium that forms in this sign gradually in 2020 with Jupiter, and necessarily it tends to be very inflationary !
If Saturn could bring certain heaviness or constraints, certain delays or setbacks, brakes preventing or limiting the achievements, Jupiter comes on the contrary to bring a principle of action and expansion, and will inevitably be much more favorable to the concretization of ambitions, at least to produce the necessary confrontation for that even if the real fruits will be picked later.
We know that Jupiter and Saturn represent many of the “social” energies and in addition in Capricorn, this can underline more directly the socio-professional sector, the economic field, the management, the business strategy, it is really the “function”, even in the sense of a “vocation”, which is most directly evoked.
This conjunction has by nature a “combustion engine” functioning which can be quite important, in addition with mixed Pluto, it can really require to get things “very low”, even through destruction, especially at the beginning of the year which is really likely to be the most sensitive, a particularly sensitive first quarter, where a lot of things will be at stake compared to the overall year and the totality of this transit in this sector !
The month of March is a little “the month of all dangers”, it is there that there will be the greatest concentration of planets, in tight Orb, with the greatest “explosivity”, and that the Mars transit will be added to this cluster in the sky to form a very important short-term trigger factor… Moreover from the point of view of a world astrology, the risk of crisis (financial, political) is also more important with this type of influences.
There is a significant reform load in this sector (including at the karmic level) and this in a very excessive way, a notion of “purge” and new start to operate (on things that could already have been felt more acutely since mid-february).
Jupiter probably comes to “force” externalizations and learnings, and the notion “imperative” may be quite important in this scheme, we may find ourselves facing forms of fatalities that force us to take into account, to become aware, precisely that an old social scheme must evolve differently.
It will be especially the 3rd decans, not only of Cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Libra, Cancer) but also Earth signs (Taurus and Virgo) that will be directly concerned, but to some extent it will have resonances necessarily more general and according to your birth chart.
It will thus be necessary to try to set a maximum of milestones during this broad first quarter 2020, probably until April, the following months are likely to be more “digestive” phases, requiring an integration of what could have been raised at the beginning of the year.
Important point of the calendar besides, in mid-May, when the retrograde motions of Venus and Jupiter will start within a few days apart ! (2 planets that promote socialization each in their own way and will therefore be there introverted)
One can think that this opens a time less directly constructive and expansive, but where it will be necessary to more ensure its foundations or its acquired (try to secure what can be secured), also by force of circumstances, if the kick in the anthill was important at the beginning of the year, the value crisis can be as devastating and very destabilizing in the medium term until easily July (I will certainly talk more about the Venusian retrograde in May later).
We can see until mid-September when Jupiter will resume direct motion, significant tensions -and karmic- on the social planets, and which may indicate for example that we will not really be able to act as we would like, or initiate actions, creations, its defenses, as we would like…
And there again the sky is mischievous since just a few days before the resumption of Jupiter’s direct motion, it will be the retrograde of Mars, on the end of its home Aries, and which will thus particularly insist on the quadrature to the social planets over several weeks, which may cause confusion in the action, on even things that may have been born from the end of July (this is the period when Venus will be released from its retrograde loop).
This Martian retrograde will still solicit the 3rd decans and is still a socially complicated force, for all that concerns self-assertion, creation, it risks forcing a lot of confrontation and awakening some frustration, for example because we will have to act against our interests, to suffer, or that we will not be able to assert them, or by the fact that we will fall on “insensitive walls” to our reactions (which could be the boss, the state, an institution, etc) and that this will prevent us from radiating our full qualities and will motivate a certain anger that is hard to exteriorize, otherwise than by eruptions that could be violent… But I will have the opportunity to talk about this Martian retrograde motion specifically.
It will be necessary to wait until mid-November to see Mars coming out of its retrograde, and Jupiter will invest Aquarius on December 19, 2020, a period that will really allow a change in elemental energy, for the Uranian Air of this sign, a page will symbolically turn to 2021, a year that will be much more harmonic for the Jovian transit.
Note that it’s really on this end of year 2020 that the conjunction Jupiter / Saturn will be the most accurate, so on the 1st decan of this sign of Aquarius also fully concerned…
