To be precise, this transit starts on December 29, 2021, but the whole year 2022 will be marked!
Jupiter reaches a strong position, in its nocturnal domicile of Pisces, under the influence of the Neptunian water forces. This is an area where the Jovian forces are at ease, powerful, and sometimes even “excessive”.
In Sagittarius domicile, Jupiter speaks of spirituality but also has in parallel an aim of social integration, of connection to others; while in Pisces domicile the Jovian forces are more mystical, open to the Absolute, in the need to connect with the divine, the universal, the transcendent…
The major event of this transit is clearly that Jupiter will take the opportunity to join Neptune’s transit! (in the long term in this sign in domicile too)
This can be already very powerful as a conjunction between these 2 giants, but in addition by being both at ease in domicile, it is truly particularly powerful!
The previous Jupiter/Neptune conjunction dates back to 2009, but it took place then in Aquarius.
If we look for their previous conjunction in Pisces, we have to go back much further to 1856! (a year which apparently was marked by great floods and by demands for social rights)
2022, a highly “aquatic”, receptive year?
If we put the Jupiter’s transit in its recent context, the planet has just passed its conjunction to the other social planet Saturn in 2021, and it has also been very energized by the Uranian electric air energies of Aquarius (useful for liberations/innovations), so it finds here an important contrast in this aquatic area.
It made a small incursion into 1st decan Pisces from mid-May 2021 until the end of July, about two and a half months where it could come to “awaken” certain things, certain important emotions or receptivities, so the year 2022 will be very much devoted to deepening that!
If 2021 came to boost a whole new long term social dynamic, 2022 may ask us to refocus this at the level of our deep “fundamental ideals” (of our inner feelings).
The Neptunian spectrum is very wide in its analogies, we find it in everything related to “Water” (often in its excesses), to artistic fields, to music, to medical or charity fields, as well as to everything that produces a state of confusion or rupture of the usual consciousness, etc…
Of course, not everyone will express all of these strengths at the same time! But these are the main axes to watch out for.
If you have aspirations, intuitions, idealizations or fantasies and utopias that call to you, Jupiter’s transit will be able to have a “magnifying effect” on these elements, thus to boost them, to help in their realizations, but also with the risk of “going too far” and of losing touch with certain realities, with a more practical and pragmatic vision…
For this reason, what is crucial to remember for all of us during this year 2022 is that Jupiter is forcing us to question ourselves and to take stock of this Neptunian function, as well as our Neptune in our birth chart, but also of this Neptune’s transit in the medium term!

+ And if so, can we refocus on this function differently from now on?
Particularly if there is already a “victim/savior” duality pattern expressed in the birth chart for example, or if on the contrary the planet suffers from a fall or a detriment that comes to burden or distort its understanding.
You have to be careful with this type of transit, because it reminds me of the maxim “the road to hell is paved with good intentions“!
With these Neptunian forces so inflationary, we want to “do well”, we have ideas that in our head can give solutions to everything and appear very beautiful, clear for the good of all and everything; or we can fall on beautiful speakers who will have an important magnetism with pretty words that we will want to believe…
But once again these forces will also have to pass the reality check, and it is well known that this is not always Neptune’s or Jupiter’s strong point, reality having an annoying tendency to never correspond to utopias.
This does not mean that we will be in a complete illusion, but maybe it will take more time than expected to understand and realize more fully what this conjunction around these aquatic forces is about, maybe several years (the Saturn-Neptune conjunction around 2025)…
So we have to be careful not to get tricked, and regardless of what the Neptunian forces raise over the period (also politically), it is necessary to ask ourselves the question of their right effective concretization in the matter and the real behind, in time, over the duration.
Do you want to learn something? To help someone? To feel useful? To express emotions?
This is good, but it does not exempt us from finding the best and most realistic way to do this, not to cut ourselves off from the more practical and pragmatic parts, which unfortunately may be more difficult to understand with these forces…
The transit of Jupiter in Pisces in 2021 in everyday life
Neptunian forces will gain enormous power in early 2022, ideals will be powerful and massive, requiring refocusing on them, but “confusion” is also increased, especially in January (see what I mention in my article on Venus retrograde in Capricorn).
Note that the square of Saturn in Aquarius to Uranus in Taurus remains fully active in 2022 and at this time, and still confirms this clash or stumbling block between the security forces and the emancipation parts.
The new Moon in Pisces at the beginning of March 2022 and the whole lunation that will follow form a particularly important triggering factor in the vicinity of the transits of Jupiter and Neptune! And thus allowing the realizations, the Neptunian concretizations, or a form of “bursting, blooming”, of these forces…
Even if the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction will be exact only around the 2nd ten days of April, on the 3rd decan of Pisces, it remains a whole period of a month and a half which can mark enormously the year 2022 for all of us, what will play out there can have repercussions on several months…
Around the 2nd ten days of May, Jupiter will already reach the sign of Aries (1st decan), for a small incursion until the end of October though, and which will be useful to find dynamic energies of “active realization” once again (the Jovian forces symbolically come out of passivity/receptivity here, to “form an action”, an affirmation, an impulse)
So there is a great contrast that emerges from this first half of 2022, where from month to month, the energies are really quickly very changeable.
The challenge is to prepare and follow the energetic wave that will start in March. Astrologically, we can say that this is when the “dynamic phases” truly begin in the year, and that this impulse will mark the entire medium term…
