The social planet Saturn is ever more important to watch out for, as a medium-term background transit, and from spring 2020 it begins testing the Aquarian Uranian Air in a rather small timid incursion until July, before investing the sign more boldly and definitively come mid-December 2020 and until March 2023.
Aquarius remains the nocturnal domicile of this planet, however, with a less profound and introverted tone than in Capricorn. This planet finds itself more social and lighter, more reforming, under the influence of Uranus, this is yet another facet of Saturn which expresses itself and which requires more exteriorisations, more translations within the collective.

The year 2021 will be marked by the onset of the new cycle of the social planets Jupiter and Saturn, their conjunction will initiate an unfolding that’ll last nearly 20 years, until 2040 when they’ll meet in Libra, the previous one took place in Taurus around the 2000s.
This planetary conjunction always has a very particular symbolic charge, I will elaborate more on it when I talk about Jupiter in Aquarius transit, let’s consider that in any case, it bears a powerful energetic charge, and that this change of elemental energy for the Air element of this sign can accompany forms of sensitive social turning points.
We also see that these social planets will come into direct collision in square with their current ruler, so Uranus in Taurus, in fall in this sign, which does not fail to necessarily activate certain antagonisms…
There is a significant tension that can be expressed within this configuration between the overall forces of Earth and the Uranian forces of Air !
The Saturn / Uranus square will be active throughout 2021 and will be of particular influence on the 1st decans of the Fixed Cross (Aquarius / Taurus / Leo / Scorpio, until the beginning of the 2nd decan), it’s an aspect that will most likely tend to rely a lot on “security / freedom” or “matter / mind” dualities, saturn can represent certain principles of reality, certain confrontations with the real which are imperative phases but can thus come to “weigh” on the forces of elevation.
This requires that you understand how to reconcile your ideals, your aspirations, your intuitions, with a proper materialization that you can give to these forces, in order to effectively bring them to live.
Although Saturn rather embodies a certain conservatism and traditionalism, in this case, the planet must also accept to let go, to accompany change, to adapt in order to reform what needs to be reformed.
The Saturnian forces can also be quite a “joy-killer” here, with the assertion that: emancipation and independence are definitely within reach, but that this requires other concessions, other constraints, other responsibilities, there is basically a “choice to be made” to know above all what you want to bear and take responsibility for in the time, on the long run…
Here, however, it’s very much the forces of security and stability that will be mistreated, and they risk being quite “frustrated”, to see different “fears” reactivated, the fear of losing, missing, being dispossessed, depending also on the natal energies of each one of us.
But there is a notion of “crisis of values” which could be key in this picture, and which makes us realize that “we cannot serve 2 masters at the same time”, that each step we take in one direction, comes to the detriment of the other ! and this just goes a long way towards compliance with the fundamental ideals and with the values of emancipation which will be demanded in priority (even if it means having to renounce certain things).
In the long run, let’s not lose sight of the fact that what will be raised here, could be the responsibility of Pluto during its transit, for it to galvanize in a profound manner, from its next entry in Aquarius in the year 2023 (a change of sign that is worth watching out for), we may already have to symbolically plant “social seeds” from 2021 with these Jovian and Saturnian transits !
Saturn in transit through Aquarius come 2022 / 2023
Come the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, the 2nd and 3rd decans of the Fixed cross will still be the ones concerned, the square to Uranus being progressively undone in terms of degrees, you should not disregard it too quickly nonetheless !
The Uranian transit will be very much highlighted by the arrival of the north node in Taurus, bringing a very particular karmic charge around these forces, of this planetary function, which will be very sensitive in the summer of 2022, Saturn returning in quadrature thanks to its retrograde motion !
This may indicate, for example, that as concerns matters that would have been raised from early 2021, it will require making definite decisions only at this point…
This is to be checked according to your birth chart, according to how the transit of Uranus and the transit of the social planets Jupiter and Saturn are expressed over these periods.
It’s therefore very important to understand that much of the Saturnian transit in Aquarius will be played out in the square of Uranus in Taurus, and that the initial sprout of all this will find its roots from early 2021.
Following the progress of the different Lunations, which will punctuate and nuance the different influences of this Saturnian transit, is of course, of great importance as well.
