This is a fast transit (around twenty days on average, excluding retrograde periods), closely accompanying our daily life and exerting a constant influence on the mind, intuition, logic, and rational thinking.
Mercury is generally considered a “neutral” planet, although it is often associated with the Logos of the Animus within the chart; in this sense, it can indicate a projection of it.
It also frequently provides information about siblings, close relatives, the immediate environment, friends, neighbors, and clients, expressing qualities that take on the tone and coloration of the sign it occupies.
Heightened mental activity and communication
When Mercury transits Gemini or the 3rd House, the planet is very strong in its analogical house (domicile).
It energizes the mind and communication skills, increases intellectual curiosity and learning abilities, and, being a fast-moving planet, acts here as a trigger for these dynamics.
This is therefore a favorable period both for learning and for exchanging ideas. One is more comfortable with words, better able to make oneself understood, to hold important conversations, or to begin significant work related to writing, promotion, teaching, and transmission. The social or commercial sphere may slow down or lack reliability, calling for multiple checks and verifications.
This is a preparatory phase; it is not recommended to sign contracts or commit to any undertaking while the planet is retrograde.
On the other hand, this period can be very useful for studying and deepening a subject.
