These are global transit energies that must absolutely be nuanced according to your own birth chart; see the article Moon in transit.
For the interpretation of your Moon in your birth chart, see Moon in signs.
This is a very fast transit (just a few days), one that truly initiates and regularly punctuates our daily life through the rhythm of the Lunations; as such, it can have a strong impact on our moods and intuitions.
The Moon is one of the attributes of the Anima in the chart; in this sense, it can indicate a Projection of it.
It therefore often also provides information about the mother, or the spouse for the native, the mistress of the household, expressing qualities colored by the sign it occupies.
Emotional Crises…
When the Moon transits Scorpio or the 8th House, this is a complex phase of the month.
The unconscious is emphasized, and there is a need for depth and intensity. Emotions tend to turn inward; they are no less powerful, but for a time they become repressed and must be channeled.
The fundamental need for understanding also becomes more pronounced, with a search for meaning in what one feels and in what others are feeling.
There is a greater interest and investment in psychology, which is why transits activating this sector can often take the form of significant “crises”.
One seeks to dissect situations in order to be able to move forward afterward on new, better-understood and more serene foundations.
The period often calls for a genuine reassessment, implying the abandonment of something that has become obsolete or outdated, in favor of a new reality imposing itself in an imperative way (and sometimes quite inevitably, through force of circumstances, if one has not consciously anticipated things beforehand).
This can manifest materially, emotionally, or spiritually. It may range from relationship issues, where all the accumulated grievances of the month suddenly burst forth, to financial matters that can likewise surface during this brief transit (household finances, loans, inheritance, investments, taxes, legal matters, etc).
It can also take the form of a genuine psychological and emotional malaise, strongly “inviting” you to change what is not working in your daily life in order to feel better inwardly.
It is true that this house is often associated with negative prerogatives, with “death” (both literal and symbolic), but this is frequently due to misunderstanding and fear of the secret, hidden, and occult elements it carries (thus potentially including aspects of deceit and concealment).
Yet this house also contains the greatest potential for regeneration, even “resurrection”, in the Zodiac.
And with the Moon, symbol of fertility and intuition, it is easy to understand why sensitivity is so heightened.
Fundamentally, there is a greater need for emotional security, to the extent that dissatisfaction and emotional volatility may become pervasive.
This transit can truly indicate a phase of the lunation during which you can, in a sense, hit the “reset” button on many things, wipe the slate clean and start anew. This can be extremely useful in many situations and across all the areas mentioned above, it is a monthly opportunity to purge the system.
On the negative side, this type of lunar passage can manifest as Depression and a tendency toward excess or extremity in decision-making.
One’s head is down, lacking objectivity, things are seen as black or white, but not both, nor in shades of grey.
It is often a sky of confrontation (with others, and with oneself as well).
Those around you may struggle to keep up, as both withdrawal and heightened emotional sensitivity do little to facilitate social interaction during this period…
