In fact, if you imagine “rays”, or magnetism, or whatever else might be “emitted” by the planets, within a purely material view of things in order to explain astrology, you can search for a very long time, you will probably find nothing, or only infinitesimal traces, so vast are the distances involved…
Radiation, at its source, is the Sun, the symbol of almost everything.
The planets are prisms that give a particular “quality” to solar light…
But when we speak of the planets (Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and so on) it is because they symbolize analogies with things that already exist within us…
When we say, for example, that Saturn represents the Earth, cold, crystallization, mastery, rigor, austerity, introversion, lead, and all its related analogies, this simply implies that these dimensions resonate with that planet, and that the planet symbolizes them in the sky.
This is what resonates, quite simply. There are no “magical rays”, and distance matters very little.
There is only a perfect synchronicity between what exists within us and the configuration of the sky.
This is the alchemical maxim: “as above, so below”, and vice versa…
We possess a kind of analogical “psychological substance” corresponding to these planets, and astrology “works” for this very reason.
If you do not think (or resonate 😉 ) in archetypal terms, if you remain rooted in materiality and look for the “ray” (the wave, the magnetic force, the physical link), you completely miss the celestial mechanism…
This is, moreover, the great tragedy of modern science, which obsessively concerns itself with the “how ?” while dramatically blindfolding itself whenever it comes to the “why ?”…
For me, it has always been the “why ?” that fascinated me most, because I knew or sensed that the answers there would be more authentic and profound, but also harder to uncover, than those of the “how ?”…
When the universe is approached in terms of archetypes, entirely different answers emerge, and this video invites us to dream upon this magnificent celestial mechanism… 😉
