A social transit that remains highly significant: wherever Jupiter passes, there is focus, inflation, excess, and thus also risks of exaggeration !
And this is truly the major risk of this transit, since the planet will be here in its primary domicile, therefore extremely strong, in full possession of its means, after 12 years spent traveling through the Zodiac (its previous stay at home dating from around 2007).
The traits of Sagittarius will tend to be exacerbated, thus in terms of spirituality, mystical and philosophical dimensions, and also the need to learn, to acquire knowledge, to open oneself to the world, to expand one’s consciousness…
The notion of “learning” may prove truly decisive during this passage, because this is an energy that aims very significantly to develop our autodidactic strengths, always with the fundamental underlying goal of helping us achieve better “social integration”, so that we are more in alignment with our true personal radiance within the collective.
A good way to experience this transit, therefore, will be to ask oneself questions (many of them) and to try to answer them !
It is through this process that the planet can reach its highest, furthest, strongest expression; that it can generate the greatest possible optimism and thus open the most perspectives…
The planet Jupiter can be somewhat similar to a hot-air balloon: when filled with hot air, we know it is destined to rise high, but we will not necessarily be able to steer it exactly as we wish; we will be somewhat obliged to follow the supporting currents, to juggle with them, in order to benefit from this force…
The planet will thus enter this sign on November 8, 2018, and will not leave it until December 2, 2019, just over a year, during which it will experience different phases.
The first decan will be very much affected by this transit until early 2019, without any particular hindrance, incidentally; one should take advantage of it, because its passage will be very rapid and it will not return during the year.
From early 2019 onward, it will be the turn of the second decan to receive it; the square to Neptune in Pisces will then be fully active.
This is not, moreover, the worst possible square, since the two planets share common Rulerships here (Jupiter/Neptune); it is more an energy that may, for example, confront one with ideals, produce disorientation because one aims too high, because one sees too big, the inflationary risks I evoked at the beginning will be fully active here.
From mid-February, it is the beginning of the third decan that will start to be concerned; the planet will then be stationary for you until April 10, the date on which it will turn retrograde (this decan will encounter it again at the end of the transit).
As always, one should try to resolve as many social matters as possible during their active phase, before retrogradation, because subsequently, what the planet represents, what it activates in your Birth Chart, risks finding itself constrained, more limited, or delayed.
It will re-enter the second decan in early June, thus progressively re-encountering this square to Neptune for a few months; one may need to revisit what may have been raised during the first passage (from January to mid-February) in order to resolve it definitively during this summer of 2019, either to draw a line under it in certain cases, or else to refine, to revise one’s pretensions downward, to open one’s eyes differently to certain situations or people (direct motion resuming on August 11, 2019, but the square to Neptune will not truly dissolve until around mid-October).
We thus see that there are relatively few astral influences directly concerning it, apart from this square to Neptune as a backdrop for a large part of the year.
Let us hope that this transit of Jupiter, the great benefic of the Zodiac, thus in its own dwelling, may carry us collectively toward greater wisdom and reason; there is certainly a need for it…
