The utility of Secondary Progressions is no longer debated today within the astrologer’s toolkit for Forecasting, standing alongside Transits, Returns (solar, lunar), or even Primary Directions (when the birth time is highly precise).
We know that progressions do not necessarily represent objective external events, but rather function as a form of resonance, an inner psychological evolution related to the factors involved, which are often planetary: progressed Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, forming such Aspects in such Houses, and so on…

Should We Include Progressed House Cusps of All Houses in the Study of Secondary Progressions ?
We often tend to focus on the energetic principle represented by a Planet, but we struggle far more with the principle of Houses, which is much more “passive”, abstract, representing the backdrop of a life sector, colored by signs and serving as the stage upon which the planetary actors perform…
Admittedly, we generally understand the interest of the Ascendant Complex (since it is well-known, widely discussed), but it nonetheless remains quite abstract, and many astrology enthusiasts do not yet grasp the basic principles of House systems that lead to this crucial division into sectors.
And yet, a House remains highly potent through all the symbolism attached to it; domification represents a truly personalized zodiac, often even preceding the Zodiac of Signs in the Interpretation we offer (especially for slow planets, which are more generational and common across the signs of many individuals).
Including progressed house cusps adds considerable additional data to analyze within secondary progressions.
Admittedly, this is not always feasible given the extra workload it entails, but that said, it often proves highly rewarding, not necessarily as a primary factor but always as a secondary indicator.
Moreover, if one filters what needs to be analyzed versus what does not, the process can move more efficiently.
At the forefront of this analysis, obviously, are the progressed Ascendant and Midheaven, which will more directly materialize where one stands in terms of personal and social incarnation…
Here, a change of Astrological Elements, of house, or a Conjunction to a planet will be particularly sensitive, directly coloring these domains.
The pace of a house cusp is very slow, somewhat comparable to that of the Sun, so it is likely that their influence also unfolds as an underlying backdrop, certainly over approximately 3 years (1° of Orb before and after the exact aspect: one preparatory year, one year of effective, tangible, intense change, and one year of integration).
Classical and commonsense rules of interpretation also apply to the interpretation of progressed house cusps.
Thus, for example, one should always prioritize a progression involving the natal Sun or Moon, the ruler of the birth chart, transpersonal planets, or karmic symbols, the significant points.
They subordinate themselves to the rest of the chart under study, providing additional detail through the contacts they make.
However, regarding the aspects they form to the rest of the chart: always use a reduced orb, maximum 1°, and I tend to privilege only major aspects (Conjunction, Opposition, Square, Trine).
I have also noticed that they seem to be more directly reactive through external events when they contact progressed luminaries or planets, which is normal and which we already often observe with the progressed Moon (this applies obviously especially to fast-moving planets that shift considerably in progressions; it is far less noticeable with heavy planets whose pace is too slow).
Logically, as always, it will be the cusps of houses that are already extremely important in the birth chart that warrant particularly close attention in progressions.
For example, if you have a Stellium in the 9th House, this progressed house cusp will provide valuable clues regarding the fulfillment of your stellium.
Suppose it comes into contact with Saturn: you will be called upon to bring order to these energies, to find a more direct utility for them; you may experience a certain fear concerning them, or else return to very traditional foundations for their application, exercise greater wisdom, and so on.
I genuinely encourage astrology enthusiasts to integrate this practice, at least on a trial basis.
It can sometimes enable you to confirm or refute the general tendency of the chart.
For my part, I intend to practice it much more significantly in the future.
