Because an astrological consultation is first and foremost a human encounter between two people, I believe it is important to clarify what a consultation can bring you, how it unfolds, but also (above all) what it is not, what it cannot offer, and therefore the wrong reasons for turning to astrology.
I am simply presenting my own approach to astrology, in accordance with my ethical framework.
You will undoubtedly find other astrologers whose views and practices differ significantly from mine, which leads me to my first piece of advice: choose an astrologer whose approach truly resonates with you.
If a certain practice does not “speak” to you, if the astrologer seems to be operating on a wavelength different from yours (for whatever reason), then do not consult them, even if they appear everywhere in the media.
Why consult an astrologer?
Many people have a mistaken idea of what astrology truly is, and therefore of what the work of an astrologer actually involves.
I do not tell fortunes. I am not a psychic or a medium.
I will not predict that your next partner will have dark hair, that your boss will offer you a 200$ raise, that your mother-in-law will be hospitalized for a specific reason, nor will I provide the winning lottery numbers.
Astrology as I practice it consists of the study of astrological cycles with the aim of fostering personal, individual, and spiritual development.
Knowing your birth chart allows you to understand the core potentials nature has given you, potentials that you are responsible for developing throughout your life in order to truly fulfill yourself.
Through planetary transits and progressions, we obtain a dynamic updating of the birth chart when undertaking a comprehensive predictive study.
Astrology helps us understand the periods we are experiencing, whether past or present, and also to anticipate future cycles.
It can therefore serve as a highly valuable decision-making tool.
This understanding of the celestial patterns allows us to cultivate a certain wisdom and philosophy of life.
An astrological consultation offers the opportunity to know yourself better and to gain perspective on yourself and on others, including within professional or organizational contexts.
It also provides insights that help refine our behavior, both in our daily functioning and in the way we relate to the outside world and our environment.
By knowing the planetary transits on the birth chart, the client can take them into account and make the most of particularly favorable periods to launch a project, sign official documents, or undertake important steps.
Conversely, less favorable periods encourage greater caution and invite prudence in the areas affected by the transit.
Think ahead whenever possible. View cycles as something deeper, something that unfolds over the long term.
Too often, I see people waiting until they are at the very depths of a crisis before coming to see me and asking for quick solutions.
The more time and foresight you allow yourself for analysis, the better equipped you will be to navigate the situations you encounter.
It is essential to understand that astrology is a symbolic art concerned with the quality of being, not a quantifiable exact science.
Astrological interpretation is, and will always remain, rooted in human perception and sensitivity toward symbols, with all that implies in terms of uncertainty or potential error.
I fully understand the skepticism of those who have never studied astrology, faced with such an esoteric language, so far removed from our modern world, which has elevated materialist science to the status of religion.
The very astrological principle is profoundly destabilizing.
Science, however powerful it may be in explaining “how” things work, remains largely silent when it comes to the fundamental “why”, which is so essential.
I can only encourage everyone to study their own birth chart personally.
Astrology is not meant to explain everything, but it does offer a relevant and reliable illumination on aspects that are otherwise inaccessible.
The insights drawn from astrological cycles are not primarily intended to predict the future, but rather to understand the past (including our karma) and to make sense of the present, in order to help you transform yourself in the future. Astrology is a compass pointing north, but it is not the North itself.
The periods indicated by cycles, and the events arising from them, are simply expressions of our development and the fulfillment we are meant to achieve.
Astrology has the essential advantage of helping you integrate life’s rhythms (see the generic cycles) and to live them consciously.
What matters most is understanding clearly what astrology can reliably offer, and what it cannot, and therefore what it is pointless to demand from it.
This is why I strive to keep it as simple as possible, moving from the general toward more specific details, and to encourage true understanding in the mind of each client before any consultation.
Before consulting…
Ask yourself the following two questions:
- “What do I expect from an astrological consultation ?”
- “Am I ready to question myself and to evolve ?”

How consultations are conducted
There are as many forms of astrological consultations as there are astrologers.
Personally, I mainly favor written exchanges via email.
It may take longer, but it allows for greater depth.
I value the permanence of writing; spoken words are fleeting, and verbal exchanges often become too superficial or misleading.
Some astrologers have unfortunately become experts at empty rhetoric, but perhaps some clients are seeking that, often confusing the role of an astrologer with that of a psychologist, a psychotherapist, or even a psychiatrist.
Astrology operates within symbolism and a certain esoteric, even mystical dimension, and can never replace those disciplines; rather, they are complementary.
In writing, I find there is more detachment, more perspective, more distance, and fewer illusions.
I also believe that the act of writing engages the client more deeply with their motivations, initiating a deeper process of introspection than spoken words alone.
Dane Rudhyar already pointed out several decades ago the drift in the “astrologer / client” relationship, where the client expected to know everything after a relatively brief session, reducing the astrologer to a fortune-teller at a fair.
He believed that a new form of relationship, based on a new form of astrology, was absolutely necessary.
This is what he initiated, and what I humbly attempt to apply.
At the time, he certainly could not have imagined the revolution brought about by computers and the internet: a new medium enabling this new type of relationship.
The client becomes active within the consultation, seeking knowledge and ready to initiate a dynamic process within their personality.
