This lunation chart was drawn up at the exact moment of the Sun / Moon conjunction on December 20, 2025, it gives the broader astrological trends for the coming month mainly based on the Aspects and Signs of the zodiac.
This study must be nuanced by bringing it closer to your birth chart, and to your Transits and Progressions for Forecasts.

Saturn and Neptune with more pragmatism?
Last new moon of the year, occurring at the end of Sagittarius, mainly clashing with the decreasing square to Saturn / Neptune, which recently resumed their direct motions at the end of Pisces during the previous lunation.
This may highlight a reactivation of Neptunian forces from the end of this year, gaining strength until February / March 2026, as the Saturn / Neptune conjunction will reform, this time in an exact way.
This can still be linked to events that took root around late spring and early summer 2025, with the initial start of this conjunction, some points that emerged then may need to evolve differently.
The decreasing square itself carries a strong charge of reorganization, even a reality check, a challenge of realism and pragmatism.
It’s about the need to confront ideals, or a vocation, with their concrete and effective realization, including what may be most challenging or disorienting about that.
Much depends once again on how you experience your Neptunian and Saturnian energies during this period, as they strongly underline the background dynamic of 2025 and 2026, and we are not all equally affected by these forces (see my articles on Saturn in Aries for 2025/2028 and Neptune in Aries for 2025/2039).
For some people, these energies may more easily trigger confusion, melancholy, idealization, psychic instability, and disconnection from reality.
That said, this new moon brings major astrological assets compared to the initial conjunction!
For example, during the initial conjunction, giant Jupiter was square to it, adding further pressure to the evolutionary forces of the time. But here, Jupiter is now at the end of Cancer, thus in a Trine to Saturn / Neptune in Pisces.
This is clearly a very interesting and harmonious evolutionary configuration, which can greatly support the healthy use and maximization of these planetary functions, the Jovian trine may help them to flourish more effectively.
Then, at the start of this lunation, the fast-moving transit of Mars enters Capricorn —its sign of exaltation— where the planet is especially well dignified, directly allied with its current ruler Saturn, and can support strategy, maturity, responsibility, rigor, and structuring forces, all useful for “translating these forces into reality” (to better use them, not be subject to them).
We also see at the start of the lunation that the transit of the Black moon changes signs to enter Sagittarius for 9 months. I’ll cover this in a dedicated post, but it’s important to keep in mind as a sign of a new dynamic beginning (especially for those sensitive to this karmic transit).
Very quickly from the start of the lunation, a stellium of fast transits settles in Capricorn, making it a particularly energized sign during this late 2025 and early 2026 period.
Earth signs and Cardinal signs may feel this more strongly, especially in support of a creative dynamic, an endeavor, self-assertion, or extraversion.
Saturnian earthy energies will greatly benefit from this passage and remain very relevant for all things related to work or social function, always helpful for structuring or organizing matters.
The full moon of January 3, 2026 appears particularly dynamic and helpful in this regard! (with the Sun also flanked by Venus / Mars)
It could represent a kind of peak of these forces and support their expression. This is a very dynamic phase, ideal to start the year with a creative impulse, but also for fostering positive relational and emotional developments (as the sky during this time is rather harmonious, new encounters may be very interesting and constructive).
The second half of the lunation doesn’t necessarily bring major additional change—it mostly continues the momentum of this full moon impulse.
However, be mindful of the last quarter phase around January 11, as a Grand Cross configuration forms across the 3rd decans of Cardinal signs. This may bring more tension and confrontation for those signs (risks of social, relational, or professional tension, etc.).
