Uranian dynamic to watch closely
The New Moon is positioned at the end of Taurus and strongly enhances, through conjunction, Uranus’ transit, which has just definitively moved back into Gemini since the end of April 2026. It clearly brings the major dynamic tone of the period, especially for the 1st Mutable decans.
The Uranian forces of the period are particularly interesting if you wish to free or emancipate yourself from a situation or a relationship. There is a strong energy that can allow for a rupture with previous patterns (do not underestimate Uranus: the planet can sometimes make us take paths diametrically opposed to those followed before).
These are very stimulating forces to dare, to take certain risks, to allow novelty, to generate effervescence and mental liveliness — especially mental and social energies.
Keep in mind that this lunation marks the tightening of the harmonic trine between Uranus and Pluto in Aquarius, which will remain in place for about three years!
This is a generational aspect carrying a certain weight of awakening that should not be overlooked between these two transpersonal planets, and it will be especially sensitive for people with a strong Uranian dominance in their birth chart…

We can also see that right at the beginning of the lunation, Mercury moves into its domicile in Gemini, where the planet is very strong. It can support communication, learning, socialization, and the transmission or teaching of knowledge. This influence can be maximized throughout the first half of the lunation, up until the Full Moon on the 31st.
Around May 18–19, 2026, there are also two major shifts in elemental energies: Venus enters Cancer, and Mars moves into Taurus — both signs under strong lunar rulership. This can directly and strongly affect these planets of Anima and Animus, particularly in emotional matters.
That said, these two Venusian and Martian transits remain rather tense, as Venus tightens an increasing square to Neptune/Saturn in Aries, and Mars tightens an increasing square to Pluto in Aquarius. This could heighten relational tensions, especially around the first quarter near May 23, 2026 (communication difficulties, risks of confusion, disputes, challenges, rebellion, but with a need to make clear decisions).
Around May 27, 2026, Chiron also enters the sign of Taurus, so the 1st decans of this sign may be more sensitive to it. They will host the asteroid for many months to work on their natal wounds (particularly related to fears of loss, lack, dispossession, or abandonment).
The Full Moon of May 31, 2026 takes place conjunct the transit of the Black moon in Sagittarius and may mark the decisive edge of a choice — the ripening of a situation reaching an outcome, completion, or revelation.
Quickly after, during the second half of the lunation, Mercury also moves into Cancer, gradually reaching its stationary phase and preparing for its retrograde loop at the end of June.
This seems closely linked to what has been unfolding with Jupiter’s transit in Cancer for nearly a year, especially if it has raised family and security-related issues (connected with home management, family, or parents). Mercury may now bring or confirm a mental focus on these topics.
However, with the retrograde loop setting in, it’s also likely that these matters will take more time, face delays, or require third-party authorization — so not everything will be resolved during this single lunation.
