The Uranus transit is one of the slow transits of the transpersonal planets which has a certain depth and therefore importance in our daily lives, potentially bringing about major changes, in a relatively short space of time.
The planet leaves its sign of fall, Taurus, where it has been since 2018, when it was not very comfortable in Earth, to invest the Air and mercurian sign of Gemini around July 07, 2025, and will remain there until May 22, 2033, so about 7 years.
Air is an elemental energy that is much more conducive and in harmony with the essence of this planet! So it will be able to fully develop its various qualities without hindrance in terms of mental effervescence, alertness, the quest for independence and emancipation, which are the main fuels of this planetary function…
Main signs impacted during the lunation:
All Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) and all Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius).
Powerful social current
During its previous passage through Taurus, the transit of Uranus raised awareness of the duality between “security” and “freedom”, giving the impression of not being able to have everything, of having to make choices and sacrifices on one side or the other…
But the Gemini passage puts an end to this and can help you to take flight, to rise, to free yourself, to cultivate your mental and social qualities, your powers of communication and learning, and also to sublimate and transmit them to others.
Pragmatically speaking, for example, this can be a cycle to keep an eye on when accompanying a socio-professional reconversion, or when setting up a new company, to try something new and original in its approach.
Especially then if you have birth influences in the signs most concerned, this Uranus transit can really help to find a dynamic of powerful impetus, and depending on which houses this applies to, Uranian forces can really come to “turn” things completely around.
Much can depend on where you’ve felt constrained or limited until now, whether at work or in your relational and psychological patterns, because the planet Uranus is very helpful in breaking away from the conventional and trying new, more iconoclastic paths.
The sign of Gemini really brings a wind of change to all this, so it’s important to encourage curiosity and versatility, to try out different things or learn according to your inspiration and intuition, and to know how to take risks too (social, intellectual), because that’s what’s going to be the most promising during this transit.
So if you’re experiencing something as sclerotic and imprisoning, this Uranian transit can help you put an end to it and form the reforms that are needed, to stand back and get a better perspective on it, to also get closer to your fundamental ideals, even your utopias, your vocation.
The planet also has a more “collective” facet which will express itself very well in this sign of Gemini, so it may be useful, for example, to do group work, or get involved in an associative or political activity.
What’s more, this transit is also likely to be a formidable gas pedal for the emergence of artificial intelligence! (which, as I write these lines, is just beginning).
The Mercurian and Uranian analogies can carry these various developments very high, and at the speed things are going, there could be a huge number of developments that we haven’t even thought of until 2033…
Major developments in the transit of Uranus in Gemini from 2026 to 2033
In 2026, this Uranian transit is clearly off to a great start! Since the planet reaches crescent trine to transiting Pluto in early Aquarius (don’t forget, too, that Uranus rules Pluto through Aquarius).
These forces can be quite explosive and excessive when put together, but they are very conducive to “revelation” and awareness mechanisms. It’s a bit like a flash of genius, or a “coup de foudre”, which can strike all at once, producing the “Eureka”! And taking us from a state of not knowing to a state where we acquire new knowledge in the direction of our emancipation or liberation, and where we have the energy to try things…
This trine will therefore mark a large first half of Uranus’ transit in Gemini, especially in the 1st and 2nd decans, especially in 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028 and even 2029, and will be favorable in mundane astrology to countries marked by Uranian energies (like the USA in particular, Donald Trump and Elon Musk also being very marked by Uranian energies in their birth charts).
Uranus will shift into Gemini 2nd decan around spring 2028, where it will benefit from Jupiter’s trine to Libra, a period that could be very promising for Air signs until 2029.
From the spring of 2030, Saturn will also enter Gemini for about 3 years, joining Uranus, and can be very interesting in bringing structure to these forces, channeling and mastering them (and slowing them down, too, but with the trigon dynamic mentioned above having lasted several years, this won’t necessarily be a bad thing for regaining a certain reason and balance).
Uranus will also invest the sign’s 3rd decan from summer 2030 onwards, so if you have more birth influences in this decan, it’ll be your turn to start benefiting from them, even though you’ll experience much more Saturnian influences in parallel, especially in 2031 and 2032, so you’ll have a “cooler” head to make the most of these forces (with less of the crazy exuberance).
Uranus will make its first small incursion into early Cancer around summer 2032 in the sign’s 1st decan, which will continue to be marked by Saturn’s conjunction until 2033 (making the Cardinal cross and Water signs more sensitive, but I’ll come back to this later).
This Saturn / Uranus conjunction will therefore have a strong influence on the period between the end of Gemini and the beginning of Cancer, which remains a rather antagonistic influence to deal with in these years (especially as Saturnian forces are in detriment in Cancer, so not very comfortable).
There’s a synthesis to be made between the forces of reform, innovation and conservation/perpetuation, but one can feel a kind of split between these points depending on what one wants or can prioritize.
With Cancer, under lunar control, questions of security, stability and conservatism may return, and Uranus represents more of a reversal of the conventional, so the “security / freedom” duality may resurface more strongly and also bring us back to what will have been played out previously during the transit in Taurus…
Obviously, it will be important to follow what the other transits have to say, such as that of Jupiter, which remains very important during this time, but which I have not been able to deal with here so as not to make too long article.
