Fourth and penultimate installment of answers to the questions.
At this stage of my knowledge, I have some difficulty, for example, analyzing the affective life of a woman or a man: should we look at Venus, the Sun, Mars, the cusp of the 7th ? One or the other, or all of them ? Can we systematically say that the Sun represents the husband (but he is also her father), that Mars represents the lover (or libido), that the cusp of the 7th represents the masculine ideal (for a woman), and that the position and aspect of Venus shows her way of loving ? What should we look at for a man ? The Moon as the mother of his children (but she is also his own mother, it seems to me) ? Mars for his type of sexuality ? Venus representing the type of woman a man is attracted to ? And the cusp of the 7th, his ideal partner ? Since clients’ questions often focus on affective life, I would like to find the “method” for bringing out the information without getting lost…
A vast question that I would struggle to address in a few lines… 😉
In fact, when it comes to analyzing a person’s “affective potentialities”, it is the entire chart that provides the answer…
First of all, a simple elemental analysis (too often neglected) will give you many indications !
A deficiency in Water, for example, strongly signals a difficulty in accessing and expressing emotional dimensions…
Similarly, for instance, a Saturnian prominence, where one can deduce by inference a greater probability of self-mastery and introversion.
The 7th House and the 5th House, moreover, also represent “life sectors”, and we can draw certain deductions from a planetary emphasis, but this does not mean that an absence of emphasis equates to an affective “void”; it is simply an absence of emphasis… 😉 The sign coloring the house fundamentally provides an elemental hue linked to that archetype.
Regarding the Planets, I refer you to the notions of Anima and Animus, which summarize the masculine and feminine polarities.
For example, for a woman, analyzing her Anima will describe her feminine and maternal personality, and if you analyze her Animus, you will see her relational and affective Projections (and the reverse for a man).
Each planet you mention refers to specific planetary functions, I invite you to read the various linked articles, but I believe you have already grasped the principle… 😉
Hello, what do you think about Pluto transiting the 4th House in Capricorn, and what might we observe when Saturn soon joins it ?
First, a small clarification: Pluto and Capricorn are in the 4th House only in your chart; they fall in different houses in every other chart… 😉
I will not answer from the angle of a personal interpretation, since, as I mentioned in my FAQ, that is not the purpose here.
But once in a while, we can briefly touch on a few notions of mundane astrology. These two planets in combination are quite “restrictive,” more a vector of constraints and austerity, especially in a sign that is not particularly expansive…
It is worth remembering that, roughly speaking, Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn coincided with the great economic crisis of 2008 (there are important markers like this one, such as Uranus and its ingress into Aries alongside the Fukushima disaster, incidentally).
These are values to take into account. Perhaps Saturn will reactivate elements of this economic crisis, which has in a sense persisted since 2008.
The planet will be strong in its domicile in this sign, which is rather positive, bringing stability but also “power”, for better or for worse.
This is also a sign often very “legalistic”; perhaps Saturn may imprint rules, significant constraints, the necessity of a new structure, still within the economic domain.
These are, at least, possible interpretations.
What is certain is that these are harsh energies, not particularly joyful.
Pluto always demands that we relinquish what is no longer useful, and Saturn brings reflection, but here I would tend to think that these energies will act more upon “the material, the financial, the legal, the political”, perhaps precisely by confronting us with responsibilities, with fate.
This Saturn/Pluto conjunction is a very important aspect for everyone at the start of this century, and highly sensitive wherever it occurs in each individual chart. What will be interesting to follow is Pluto’s longer-term ingress into Aquarius, a sign ruled by Uranus, where the planet will possess considerable explosivity, a detonating blend…
This is just a simple suggestion, but I believe it could be interesting to read a general article on certain placements considered “difficult” when interpreting a birth chart, along with some general suggestions on the subject.
Well, yes, articles on placements in signs, in houses, as well as aspects, are currently being written, obviously.

It is important to perceive the logic underlying an Interpretation, rather than expecting ready-made recipes…
Is it possible that a Pluto transit square my Moon signified the loss of my former “self” (the image of seduction, the loss of my femininity), since this period also coincided with menopause… I imagine that not all women going through menopause experience a Pluto transit… but in my case, is this a coincidence, or was it truly this death of the woman I used to be that Pluto brought about ?
Yes, Pluto is certainly directly linked to what you describe. The very vocabulary you use (“the loss of the former self”) is typical of this planet’s effects: a form of “Mourning oneself”, a part dies, we relinquish certain aspects in order to better recenter on who we truly are…
That said, we must not demonize Pluto for all that. It is the totality of transits acting simultaneously; things arrive at the moment they are meant to arrive, at their stage of maturity, neither more nor less…
Transits, whether from Pluto or other Planets, are merely astral events that occur in Synchronicity to guide us, to help us, in understanding them, what matters is to accompany these passages as consciously as possible.
This is the profound and intelligent utility of astrology.
For example, in what you mention, it is first essential to understand clearly who the “former you” was, then to discern what is now being asked of you.
Pluto transits are nevertheless very slow; the planet also requires a fairly long integration time, often several years after the exact aspect, to make something concrete of what has been brought to the surface…
