This lunation chart was drawn up at the exact moment of the Sun / Moon conjunction on August 12, 2026, it gives the broader astrological trends for the coming month mainly based on the Aspects and Signs of the zodiac.
This study must be nuanced by bringing it closer to your birth chart, and to your Transits and Progressions for Forecasts.

Main signs impacted during the lunation:
All the Fixed signs : Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus, form the background; along with the first Cardinal decans at the beginning of the lunation and the first Mutable decans at the end of the lunation.
Communication matters
This New Moon in Leo tends to shine a spotlight on the transit of Jupiter in Leo during 2026 and 2027, which may be felt more strongly by this sign and by all the Fixed signs.
This is also a New moon that coincides with a solar eclipse, as it forms close to the South Node.
As such, it can be highly energetic and may have repercussions that unfold over several months.
We can also see during this period that Mercury is beginning to move back up into Leo, and that the South Node will soon follow it there as well (around August 18, 3rd decan Leo), remaining there for several months, adding yet another layer of focus on this sign.
This lunation may be particularly interesting if you are sensitive to Leo energy, as it can support greater visibility, creative self-expression, especially if you have a specific message to convey or something to show, to put on display for others.
We also see that this New moon introduces several new elemental dynamics to work with, whether through Venus having recently entered her domicile in Libra, or even more recently Mars moving into Cancer, the sign of his fall.
In fact, Venus and Mars have formed their square since the previous lunation, and this tension will only begin to ease from this August lunation onward.
As such, it remains possible that relational and emotional tensions may still exert some pressure over the medium term this summer.
Just as Venus in Libra can be useful for facilitating mediation and reconciliation, Mars in Cancer will also carry more defensive energies, helpful for self-protection or for supporting loved ones.
In this respect, it is really the beginning of the lunation that may allow for an important discussion to take place, supported by social strengths that can be maximized, also helping, if necessary, to “drain the abscess” through clear communication, as mid-August may prove more sensitive on this front.
This seems to concern above all people or situations that may have sought to limit or confine us in recent months, and there are supportive energies this month to help break free from such constraints.
Do not overlook, around August 18, 2026 (around the First Quarter phase), the shift of the lunar node axis as it moves into Leo/Aquarius for several months.
This may manifest through a change in how you express your own natal North Node in particular.

This is a “masculine” axis, carrying a stronger active polarity, and it can be very useful for working both on self-worth and on integration within the collective.
Not everyone will, of course, experience this axis shift in the same way.
Still, as always, a change of sign, a change of element, should not be overlooked when seeking to initiate a new dynamic in one’s life, by making the most of these new energies in the present.
This First Quarter phase can also be particularly helpful when it comes to making a clear decision, for example.
Especially by reconnecting with the strengths of one’s own natal South Node, our foundations, our innate qualities, what we naturally do well, in order to maximize them.
This is often what allows us to build the present more effectively, rather than placing ourselves at odds by blindly striving toward the North Node.
Here, this is clearly not the time for that, especially during the first half of the lunation.
The Full Moon of August 28, 2026 once again aligns with the lunar nodes, remaining highly energetic as it forms a lunar eclipse on the Virgo/Pisces axis, with Uranus in Gemini at the apex, creating a T-square configuration.
This is not a particularly restful configuration. It remains rather tense and mentally charged (with Mercury also tightly conjunct the Sun), so be mindful that your words do not run ahead of your thoughts, especially if you need to have an important discussion during this period.
With Uranus involved once again, the question may arise of which points we wish to free ourselves from, even if this implies taking certain risks during this period, particularly in socio-professional matters here, which may more strongly shape the overall tone of this September return.
In late August and early September, this may also increase confrontations with authority, as well as energies of revolt and contestation, especially in response to what might be perceived as an “abuse of power”, or the excesses that can stem from it.
Do not lose sight of the fact that from this period onward, Venus also begins to enter her retrograde loop for several months.
Even though she does not turn retrograde immediately, the themes she begins to raise at that time may play an important role over the medium term, throughout much of the remainder of the year.
It will therefore be important to pay close attention to what may unfold on a relational and emotional level, whether through new encounters or particular relational events.
